I was advised to consider Class 4 K-Laser treatment for Barley, my 12 year old Clumber Spaniel, when his mobility suddenly and drastically declined.

Barley had been diagnosed with severe spondylosis, a form of Arthritis of his spine. He was unable to use his back legs to support himself at all. A combination of daily medication and monthly injections had improved him slightly, but he was way off being mobile.

We was advised by Head Nurse, Estelle to try the Class 4 Laser therapy that Wangford Vets offer. He started these sessions and after the third one he started to improve, he has continued to improve with each subsequent session to the point he can now walk again unaided, off lead, once more.
The transformation has been astonishing and I will continue with regular K-Laser maintenance sessions.

After a couple of difficult experiences at previous vets we were very wary about seeing a vet. We brought our two dogs in for a health check, first one for years and were so happy to be seen by Eva. The dogs and us were very reassured by her and our faith has now been restored. She took time with the girls and gave them a thorough check, all good despite their age.

Eva was very kind, gentle, loving and patient with Bella when she visited the practice with a sore neck. She tried to reassurance Bella to put her at ease which makes a big difference.

Our little old lady Holly became poorly in June. We took her to Wangford vet's and I just can't find the word's to express how grateful our family is for the exceptional care that Holly received. The guidance that we were given was delivered in a kind and compassionate way. Holly was given medication to keep her comfortable, we had the opportunity to say our goodbyes and most importantly Holly was able to go on her own terms at home.
Thank you Wangford Vet's and an extra special Thank you to vet Vicki who cared for Holly and to vet Jennie who kindly received Holly after her passing.

Whilst we were on holiday in June this year Saffie , our now 13 year old standard poodle, was very unwell and was treated for 10 days by the practice including needing an operation. The staff were all excellent and I am pleased to say with the treatment she received she has made a full recovery, and is now currently enjoying life and walks in Southwold again.

Best Vets around covering, Lowestoft, Beccles, Wrentham, Southwold, Halesworth etc. Been with them for years & even now I have moved further away I still go there.

Not really any cheaper, maybe cheaper than some, but the staff & Vets are really caring & have a lovely manner, friendly & professional, certainly seem to know their stuff. I would highly recommend them. A1++++

We found our injured cat around 8pm following a RTA. We called multiple vets in the area, all of whom answered the phone but refused to see her before the morning. This vet was different. They told us to bring her straight in (despite not being an existing patient). They were professional , kind and compassionate and clearly care a lot about animals.

They are a busy place without current space for new patients but nonetheless helped our cat and got her the treatment she needed. I can't recommend enough.

We really can't thank Walter and his team enough for the kind and compassionate way we have been dealt with. Our Buster was everything to us, and his passing was made so peaceful. Thank you all - Kathryn & David Vaughan

We were on holiday in Southwold with an 8 year old dog with a pre-existing serious condition. She deteriorated whilst there and we contacted Wangford Vets for help. All staff were excellent, from the receptionists to the nurse and vet (Gallina). They quickly contacted our home vet for her records and offered us a very short notice, emergency appointment. Unfortunately as we feared, our dog had run out of options and they were wonderful with the difficult decision to end her life. Thank you very much for making a traumatic situation, as comfortable and smooth as possible. I would heartily recommend this practice (and Gallina in particular) for their professionalism and care.

I cannot thank Walter and Galine enough for the care they have given to Diesel. I always felt that Diesel was getting the best possible care available, and although he's sadly no longer with us, he was treated with complete dignity and care. You certainly treated him as one of your own, and I will always recommend your practice.

My dog was put down in November 2020. I could not thank the staff enough for how amazing they were. He was the absolute love of my life and they treated him very gently and kindly. They allowed us some time with him after he had passed while being very safe about the covid risk. They were really supportive. Thank you so much Wangford for making it the peaceful send off my boy deserved ❤

Friendly and caring staff who couldn't do enough to help me when I lost my caviler late Sunday night

Sadly, on Saturday, our cat MiMi became so ill that we had to take her to Wangford Veterinary Clinic. Vet Eva and Nurse Jess were on duty.
They were so gentle and caring about our precious little cargo, and let us say our "good-byes" to her.
Most of the staff at the clinic knew, and had probably treated her, because MiMi reached the grand old age of 24years, on 24th August 2020. Even as recently as Wednesday, Walter was calling her the "Come-back queen"
Thank-you, Walter, Eva, Jess and all staff who have helped to keep MiMi going all this time, She will be sadly missed and leave a great hole in our lives.

This practice rocks .. They answer emails and calls very quickly and reassured me a lot, when had my doggy spayed. The vet popped by on her way home and said any problems ring me as i am on call. The receptionists are always smiling and i couldnt imagine being registered anywhere else.

I would sincerely like to thank Walter and the team at Wangford vetinary clinic for treating my two cats. They had a bad flea infestation After using a shop-bought spot-on treatment, that didn't work, and had to wait a month before being able to apply another, Charlotte was looking quite poorly, dispite regular flea-combing. You can see the profound effect from the visit to Wangford Vets . 24hrs later all the fleas had gone and shes back to her old self. Hats off to you!

Kaous was diagnosed with cancer and as the disease took a hold and the tablets less effective we had to make the dreadful decision .
During the last few months Walter and his team provided help and support when we needed it most and never felt like anything was too much trouble right until the very end. For this we are truly grateful.

We had an extremely poorly Labrador, Finn. Excellent emergency care during lockdown and transferred to Newmarket from Wangford. On his return from Newmarket a week later , Wangford vets have followed through on his aftercare. First class vets. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our thanks go to everyone that helped Finn.

I have 2 dogs, Ziggy and Lola. Lola you have not met yet but sadly Ziggy went to visit other doggies in the sky yesterday.

I have only just joined the practice after a bad experience at another local veterinary practice despite 40 years loyal service with them. You came VERY highly recommended and how I wish I had known about you much sooner.
Boris and Estelle dealt with Ziggy yesterday and I just wanted to say how superb they were with Ziggy and me! They were so caring and compassionate and having had so many dogs put to sleep in the past, if you can call it nice this was the nicest and calmest experience ever. The fact they gave me time with Ziggy afterwards also was so kind and unexpected and really helped so much get ,my grief under control so whilst I did not leave happy I did at least feel that I had said everything I wanted to before I left him. That means SO MUCH when you lose a friend of 11 years.

Prior to that Boris had done everything he could to diagnose a difficult problem and I cannot fault your care or service in any way. I have and will continue to recommend you and actively encourage everyone I come into contact with to join you.

So please thank both Boris and Estelle on both my and Ziggy’s behalf and I’ll be back soon to have Lola spayed.

We took our cat Bono here after he got into a fight with another cat. Great veterinary practice, the difference between this and the one that we were using in Lowestoft is night and day. Bono got the care and treatment he needed and deserved. Far better to drive to Wangford than use our old vet in Lowestoft. Very thorough examination was carried out. We took our 16 week old Maggie a Staffy X to see Catherine for her vaccinations on Monday & it's safe to say Maggie found the process extremely easy, thanks to all the staff.

I want to thank the dark haired female veterinary surgeon who last week put my dog Peppi to sleep, your kind demeanour coupled with your sympathetic professional manner was second to none. Peppi was rescued as a young dog by my dear friends Imogen & James & spent 5happy years with them, she then lived with Imogens father for 3more happy years before moving in with myself & Rhubarb where she spent the last 4 1/2yrs bringing happiness to myself & everyone she came in contact with. We all 4of us were with her at the end last week, Yr dear vet not only had the awful task of putting her to sleep but also consoling 4 very tearful adults as well. A massive thank you from us all, it is ALWAYS wonderful to know our dogs receive the best care in the area. Thanks Wangford Vets. Xxxx

Good evening, I just wanted to send a message to thank Walter and the team today for supporting me during Hamishs passing. I know it must be so hard for a vet to have to do that, but as we know it’s the kindest thing we can do for our beloved pets. My heart is broken, as my loyal and wonderful, perfect dog Lady died last Sunday. I took her to Wangford vets and I just wanted to say thank to Estelle and the vet, for the wonderful care you both gave Lady and me. It was so so hard to say goodbye but you gave me the time I needed. Lady is now at rest in my garden.

An "out of hours" home visit by Walter and Estelle, followed by an emergency operation at the clinic, couldn't save her. but we truly appreciate how hard they tried.

Everyone is so friendly in this lovely clinic. It is obvious that all the employees love animals. It is very convenient being only 5 houses away and with 24 hour opening. An excellent range of pet items is also available including food and toys.

We have recently moved to the area and are really happy that a neighbour recommended this practice. Everyone we met today on our first visit were lovely, helpful and had time to talk and listen. Fidget especially loved the frisbee! We will definitely be registering our other dog Mak. Many thanks

In the 1999/2000 I met Walter at a practise near me he put to sleep my Lab/Collie who was 16 years old in a most compassionate way fitting for the end of such a loved dog it was the first time I had seen Walter. Later when I returned to my vets to find he had left I found out he had gone to Wangford unfortunately too far from us. I still to this day remember how his compassion and expertise made a dreadful day more bearable many thanks

I took my puppy for his first jabs and microchip, I'm so pleased with the service received so far. They really treated our pup like a member of the family - holding him, complementing and stroking him! So pleased I've found a surgery that actually show affection for the animal ! He was so comfy he fell asleep on the table ! X

Had to use these vets on an emergency for our Rottie Blue on the 8th October . Unfortunately she had bloat and had to be PTS. The vet we saw was amazing (sorry I can't remember his name) . He was so caring and treated our baby with dignity right to the end. also thanks to the veterinary nurse who assisted him. Thank you so much. Was a very sad day. Xxxxxx

Fantastic vets. Our pets have been looked after by Walter since he was in Saxmundham. Can't fault Wangford vets, all the staff are great. Sadly we can no longer attend as we are an hour away but highly recommend.

We would like to thank Boris for his kindness when we had an emergency with our adorable Irish Setter Max. He had been poorly for a long while . Boris was called out of hours and sadly we had to have Max put to sleep. It was a heart breaking experience as we had him from a puppy and he was 13. Boris was so kind and understanding and we felt his sadness too. The surgery sent us a kind card a few days later. We would certainly recommend the Vets at the Wangford Surgery. All lovely people.

Roly was well known to all at Wangford vets over the space of a few years as he was never the most well of dogs ! Walter took the time (more than once !) to help us come to the decision to say good bye to our little fellow. Walter and Estelle came to our home on a sunny May day, where we were in the garden with Roly, sitting in the sun. They both said just enough and made the process the best it could be for Roly and for us, before taking their leave, leaving us in the sunshine with Roly. We will always be grateful for that. We look forward to many more years with our dogs at Wangford vets with Walter and his most caring of teams.

We were on holiday in Southwold and were recommended to your practice and received marvellous care and treatment at a difficult time with a difficult diagnosis. It is very good that the practice has at least two good vets present at the Surgery all the time and the other staff were professional and helpful.

Boris was good in seeing us before and after our dog was admitted daily and was very good telephoning us.

We wish we lived nearer to use the practice all the time. Our Border Collie is continuing to progress well..

By the end of the session Walter had him eating from his hand, not at all what I would have expected when he had just given the dog an injection! We knew you were wonderful from your care of our previous dog Bailey, now doubly convinced!

Harri (the dog) & I would like to say a huge, huge thank you to Boris at Wangford Veterinary Clinic, who met us at 4.30pm Sunday evening and performed emergency surgery on Harri after she managed to rip her left hip on a broken tree branch! Today was the hardest day my daughter has yet had to face her beloved Marmaduke sadly after spending 15 years with us had to be put to sleep. Marmy was more than just a cat he grew up with my daughter shared all her childhood happiness and was there for her when things were going not so good he was her best friend.
The kindness displayed today made this unbearable task something in time we can reflect on in a positive way the kindness shown both to Marmaduke and us was above and beyond allowing Marmaduke a dignified end.

Over the years myself and my family have had a lot of dogs and met a great number of vets but out of them all I would put Walter and his team right at the top of the list. When the practice came to Wangford we had and old lurcher called Honey who sadly had to be put to sleep by Walter but she was 15+.

Meg was our next rescue age 10 and with lots of problems but with this vets care we managed to keep her going for 5 years and three months. The care we have received for all our dogs has been exemplary and I have recommended them to anybody needing a vet.

Just wanted to say thanks to Boris and the lovely nurse (sorry didn't get a name) who attended to our ill cat Millie tonight. Such caring people who were not at all put out by being called out and reassured us we had done the right thing.

Millie had something to eat and drink as soon as she came in. She's resting up with us tonight away from the very bonkers little kitten, so hopefully we'll see a marked improvement in the morning.

I can’t speak highly enough of our recent experience at Wangford Veterinary Clinic. Harry our elderly Jack Russell Terrier was run over by a car on Saturday and we took him straight to the vets as luckily they were just around the corner from where the accident happened,

The service was efficient and seamless from the receptionist to the nurse, to the vet on duty, Walter. We were seen within minutes and Harry was admitted for x-rays and care over the next 24 hours. Harry is now home recuperating from a dislocated hip – we were so lucky it wasn’t worse as he was completely unable to move at first.

Sasha, our first ever dog, became seriously ill late on a Friday night. Boris came out to see her and was just fantastic. Calm and professional despite a very anxious family and a very sick dog.

Sasha spent a week in intensive care at Wangford Vets and all the staff were superb. Very supportive and accommodating when we came to visit. They coaxed her back to health despite it looking like she would not make it.

They say they look after the animals as if they were their own pets and I can confirm this is true. A big thank you from us.
