We offer a large range of medical and surgical services including orthopaedics, all in-house, including digital x-ray, dental radiography, Endoscopy and ultrasound. We have our own in house laboratory and a daily courier service to an external lab, which means that we are often able to obtain blood test results within 24 hours.
A range of clinics are on offer with our experienced, qualified veterinary nursing team, at morning and evening surgery. All of our qualified nurses are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and have extensive experience in veterinary practice in addition to widespread personal knowledge.
We provide our own emergency cover, on our own premises with our own vets up until 10pm. Our phones then go over to an external out of hours emergency critical care centre. Our experienced veterinary team here at Wangford will continue to look after hospitalised inpatients throughout the night, providing the best care possible for your pets. At weekends and on Bank Holidays we continue our own out of hours service until 6pm transferring over for the night only . MiNightVet is our dedicated out of hours service. Centres are based at the Woodbridge branch in Melton and the Great Yarmouth branch in Gorleston and you may use either.
We offer k-laser therapy and acupuncture for pets to help alleviating chronic pain, accelerate healing and rehabilitation plus much, much more! There is an online prescription services available and when necessary are able to make home visits to see your pet. We offer our own pet health club, giving you peace of mind knowing that all your pet’s routine healthcare needs are taken care of, with regular monthly payments delivering great value for money and helping spread the costs through the year.
At Wangford we are fortunate in having a separate isolation ward for our infectious patients, and to minimise stress for our in-patients we use pheromone diffusers in the areas where animals are hospitalised. We have warm cosy beds and our patients are give lots of fuss, care and attention throughout their stay.
Part of owning a pet, is knowing that one day you will have to say goodbye to your precious pets. When the time comes our vets can visit you at home, or we can use a quiet, peaceful dedicated room here at the practice where you can have time with your pet. Our aim is for a tranquil, dignified euthanasia. Unless you wish to take your pet home to bury, you will be offered a cremation at Rainbow Bridge Pet Cremations.
